Tom & Barbara are fine singers firmly rooted in the musical traditions of the West Country, & also folklore experts. Tom plays concertina, melodeon, mandola & guitar. They are popular festival guests & run their own club in Coombe Martin.
Deeply immersed in both the theory & practice of balladry for over 40 years, Tom & Barbara bring a variety of perspectives to the performance of ballads - not to mention a whole load of rare reference books as well!
*You are invited to bring at least one traditional or modern ballad to sing & talk about.
To avoid clashes with other contributors, please state your preferred ballad in advance. If your choice has already been taken we will let you know so that you can choose another. If in doubt about what counts as a ballad, please use the contact email or phone to ask.
