The admirable Bill Whaley & Dave Fletcher are the guests at the Lewes Saturday Folk Club, UK, on Saturday 7th. November. It will be a delight to hear them in the splendid acoustics of our new, spacious club-room in the Elephant & Castle. Bill may consider that the angel (picture by Will Fly) on the stairs looks excessively cheerful.

Admission is £6 and floor singers are welcome. We always kick off with a few join-in tunes.

Tootle pip,

Valmai

I'm very tempted to pop down to Lewes on Saturday for this one Valmai (although thanks to the vagaries of British Rail etc, and the length of the trip timewise I'd have to leave at halfway time to get home ... twould be worth it though! :-)   )

It certainly is - the chaps are a storm. I've put in a request for their magnificent version of 'Lay Down Your Weary Tune' although I think they hardly ever perform it in public.

Irene, if you come, a floor spot is compulsory.

Can't beat you on the biceps, I suspect ..... I've just been looking up train times, and if I'm nuts enough it's do-able (but I'd have to leave about 10.30 ... boo, hiss!
